BarTranslate is built by Thijmen Dam as an open-source application. This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled when you use BarTranslate.

Data We Collect

None. BarTranslate does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app does not have any analytics, tracking, or telemetry. We do not have accounts, servers, or databases.

All your settings (such as your preferred hotkey and icon style) are stored locally on your device and are never sent anywhere.

Third-Party Services

BarTranslate uses Google Translate to provide translations. When you use BarTranslate, the text you enter is sent to Google for translation. This is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

BarTranslate has no control over and assumes no responsibility for Google’s data practices.

Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
